This charming restaurant is a large Acadian cabin that sits on the banks of the historic Bayou Bonfouca. This adorable art depot is housed at the historic Slidell Amtrak Train Depot Museum and is a retail shop for an artwork by Lori Gomez. The facility offers classes taught by area artists in painting, drawing, crafting, beading, and jewelry-making and fiber arts, as well as lessons in ukulele, guitar, and piano.

Dinner at Restaurant Cotè

In the heart of Olde Towne Slidell, everything at Restaurant Cotè is made from scratch daily and sourced from within 60 miles. Chef Jeremy Reilly's personal garden supplies the fresh vegetables and seasonings that supply the menu and specialty aperitifs that can be enjoyed at the adjoining Maple Room cocktail lounge. The decadent menu features, Proscuitto Wrapped Scallops, Shrimp and Oyster Rustica, Banana Fosters Bread Pudding, and an always cooked-to-order steak on Thursday's steak night.
