Krewe of Bilge - Mardi GrasKrewe of Bilge

Boat Parade

Eden Isles’ residents parade their decorated boats along the subdivision’s canals in this 400-member krewe’s floating procession. This year’s theme: Rolling of the Decades. Good spots for the public to see the parade and catch throws are The Northshore Blue Crab off Lakeview Drive and at various restaurants, bars and businesses along Highway 11, including The Landing and GilliGil's Island, and on the east side of the parade route at The Firehouse on Marina Drive.

Krewe of Poseidon

Float Parade

Features over 700 riders on 25 floats. Past parades have featured the 610 Stompers, Mande Milkshakers, Muff-A-Lottas, Disco Amigos, Honey Island Clydesdales, and many more, as well as marching bands. This co-ed krewe was founded in 2015 with a goal of providing the citizens of Slidell and the surrounding areas with an exceptional parade indicative of the traditions and history of New Orleans Mardi Gras. Starts at the intersection of Berkley Street and Spartan Drive, and follows a route northwest to Highway 11, northeast to Hwy 190, and east through town just past the intersection of 190 and Kensington Boulevard.

 

Krewe of Antheia

Float Parade

A new Carnival Krewe in Slidell, this all-women group makes its debut with the theme, “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.” One of the Graces of Greek mythology, Antheia and was the goddess of swamps, marshes, flowers and flowery wreaths. For its founders, she represents the friendship, honor, community, love and positivity that can change the world. The inaugural parade will follow the traditional Slidell parade route from Fritchie Park to Kensington Blvd.

Krewe de Paws of Olde Towne

Walking Parade

Slidell’s “Krewe for Canines” donates proceeds to local animal-loving non-profit organizations. All are welcome to join in the fun of parading through the streets of historic Olde Towne. Decorate a wagon, stroller or cart, stock up on throws, and costume yourself and your pup with the theme “Back in the Saddle Again.” The route is approximately one mile.
 

Mystic Krewe of Titans

Float Parade

This co-ed krewe was established in 2010 by a group of Carnival veterans who wanted to bring the merriment of Mardi Gras to the streets of Slidell in a high-quality, family-oriented, nighttime parade. King and Queen Titans XII are Mr. Greg Dicke and Mrs. Laura Kaufmann. Features 500+ riders on 23 floats rolling with the theme, “It Takes 2”, along with marching groups. Starts in Fritchie Park. A Mardi Gras Ball open to the public will be held January 14 at The Harbor Center.
 

Krewe of DionysusKrewe of Dionysus - Mardi Gras Slidell

Float Parade

The krewe's 250+ members have paraded through the streets of Slidell since 1985 to bring an old-fashioned Mardi Gras to Slidell and celebrate Dionysus, also known as Bacchus, the god of wine. Dionysus’ 38th King and Queen are Ernest “E.J.” Majoue and Lea Mullet. It begins at Fritchie Park, travels along Pontchartrain Drive and Front Street, makes a stop in Olde Towne to toast the Mayor, King and Queen at City Hall, then on to Gause Blvd. and ending on Kensington Blvd.
 

Krewe of Selene

Float Parade

Founded in 1998, this 400-member, all-women's night parade has a 20+ float procession featuring hand-made, elaborately decorated purses as its signature throw, lighted star wands and a variety of specialty beads. Follows the traditional Slidell parade route. Selene closes the Carnival parade season in Slidell. Dedicated to community outreach year-round, the Krewe of Selene supports Slidell Ladies for Liberty by sending items to troops overseas, running a food drive to support Second Harvest Food Bank, and organizing Project Christmas, which helps local families in need.
